Unexpectedly Comfortable Night Stay

I was pleasantly surprised by the courteous staff who were always ready to help. The hotel had a cozy lobby that felt welcoming any hour, and the accessibility off the road was a huge plus. Plus, it was great having a restaurant on-site for late-night snacks.

However, the room I stayed in had a stale smell lingering, and the facilities felt outdated. There were some minor cleanliness issues and a few creepy truckers hanging around late at night that made me a bit uncomfortable.

You won’t believe how nice the staff was! They were real friendly, helpin’ me and my partner any time we needed somethin’. The restaurant was handy for late-night snacks, too. Just wish the carpets didn’t feel so worn out. That burnt hole in the sheets was a bit much. Oh, and the outside folks sittin’ around late were kinda creepy.

The cleanliness left much to be desired—blood on the walls and a tick found in the bed made it hard to relax. Stale smells lingered in the non-smoking room, and the noise from nearby parties disrupted the needed rest. We encountered unsettling late-night antics above us, which included banging and shouting that felt more like a bar brawl than a hotel stay.

I had a great stay in a Standard King Room, Smoking for 2 nights. The staff was super accommodating and the location met my needs perfectly. It's conveniently located for visiting friends in town.

The stay in the Standard King Room was better than expected. The staff responded quickly whenever I needed assistance, which really stood out. The rooms had comfortable king-size beds. I slept well in both. The hot water in the shower was reliable, an essential after a long day. The parking lot felt secure at night, which is a plus for evening strolls with my dogs. However, the rooms showed signs of wear. The carpets felt outdated, and the linens had noticeable burn holes. Plus, I noticed some stale smells lingering in the non-smoking room. There was also a bit of noise from the nearby picnic area late at night that felt a bit unsettling. A late-night altercation disrupted my peace at one point. I wish the hotel had addressed these cleanliness and maintenance issues better. For a quick stay, it met my needs, but a little more attention to detail would make a big difference.

The experience was quite pleasant, especially enjoying the cozy evening by the fire pit and the comfortable lounge area that was perfect for relaxing. I really appreciated the outdoor seating and the serene environment. The only hiccup was the Wi-Fi not being super fast, but it didn’t ruin my overall stay. 😊

Just a top selection for a short break in Malakoff with exceptional value. Didn't expect much, but the hot water worked great after a long day. Check for room availability before your arrival. it may be busy on weekends.
